Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant on Friday flagged off the second phase of Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) at Sao Chang College, Tuensang.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumar Ramnikant encouraged the students to come forward and seize the opportunity and learn about business concept through the entrepreneurship development programme and encourage them to be creative.
V. Vikheto Yeptho from the Department of Industries & Commerce mentioned that EDCs would create a start-up ecosystem for aspiring entrepreneurs. He encouraged the gathering to know more about various schemes of government and their support for entrepreneurs such as PMEGP & PMFME.
Dorethy Chang, proprietor of Benlin Bakery, Tuensang and Atsung Sangtam, head co-ordinator for entrepreneurship development centre, also spoke at the programme.
It may be noted that EDC in colleges is an initiative of Startup Nagaland, implemented by EduCentre School of Business and supported by Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN).
