On March 18, 2023, EDC students visited the Benlin bakery production area as a business field trip at Jail Colony, Tuensang.
The purpose of the visit was to observe and learn about the bakery’s operations, production process, and business model.
Dorethy, owner of the bakery also shared about their business model, which involved selling their products through both wholesale and retail channels. They supplied their baked goods to local cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets, as well as operating their own retail outlet. They also emphasized the importance of building strong relationships with their customers and suppliers to ensure a steady supply of quality ingredients.
Field visit provided EDC students with valuable insights into the bakery business, including the importance of quality ingredients, efficient production processes and strong customer and supplier relationships.
