The first batch of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) in private colleges successfully concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony on December 16. The initiative, launched under Startup Nagaland by the Department of Industries & Commerce and implemented by Educentre School of Business, marked a significant milestone in fostering entrepreneurship in the state.
The event was graced by P. Tokugha, Director of Industries & Commerce, who encouraged students to view entrepreneurship as a viable career option in Nagaland. He highlighted the importance of innovation and urged students to become job creators, emphasizing that excellence should precede success. “When you focus on doing the right things, success will naturally follow,” he said, while also outlining the departmentโs ongoing efforts to support startups in the state.
A total of 60 students from Tetso College, St. Josephโs Autonomous College, Eastern Christian College, and C-Edge College completed the EDC program and received certificates during the ceremony.
Expressing gratitude, Educentre thanked the Department of Industries & Commerce and Startup Nagaland for their unwavering support in strengthening the startup ecosystem in Nagaland. The program aims to inspire and empower young minds to contribute to a robust entrepreneurial future for the region.
