With an aim to create awareness on startups/entrepreneurship, EduCentre School of Business (ESB) in collaboration with Startup Nagaland under the Department of Industries and Commerce has been conducting Studentrepreneurship awareness programme in various colleges like Dimapur Government College, Japfü Christian College and Eastern Christian College.
The Nagaland Start-up Policy aims to establish Nagaland as a model start-up leader in the region, by creating a culture of entrepreneurship that nurtures creative and innovative youth, allowing them to build successful start-up companies, become job creators and contribute towards building a healthy and sustainable economy.
The awareness programme was held especially for the college students to sensitise them about the potential present in the valley for boosting entrepreneurship related activities and incentives available under the Startup Nagaland Policy.
Resource person from ESB appraised the students of the college about the schemes available with startup Nagaland like seed funding, marketing and promotion, GST rebate and so on, DIC like PMEGP for aspiring entrepreneurs and also to register under their Incubation Centre.
Local startups like Online Express and 90.8 Hills FM also shared their start-up journey. Currently Nagaland also had two Entrepreneurship Development Centres for college supported by IDAN and startup Nagaland with a vision to expand to all districts of Nagaland so college students from each district can get access to the opportunities of entrepreneurship.
